Election Day Information

AT THE POLLS on Election Day.  "ALL PERSONS"   are required to provide a valid photo ID  to vote.  

Polls hours are 7 AM - 8 PM

Bring a current, valid ID

If you are not registered, you may register the day of the election.   Register online here:   https://myvote.wi.gov/en-us/RegisterToVote

If you are registering the day of the election, Bring all your Proof of Residence information and Photo ID to the polls with you.

We predict a large turnout for the 2020 General Election.  We have some timesaving tips to help you through this process.

#1 Make sure you are a registered voter.

This will reduce your wait time if you to vote in person at the polls. To ensure that you are registered voter or if you need to register, please go to www.myvote.wi.gov

Deadline to register by mail or online is October 21st, 2020.  After this date voters must register in person.  Please contact The Town of St. Joseph to make an appointment during our business hours.

#2 Don’t want to wait in line on election Day?  Apply for an Absentee Ballot.

Go to www.myvote.wi.gov If you don’t have access to the internet please call the Town of St. Joseph to make an appointment to register in person. (T/W 8 a.m.-3 p.m. TH 12 p.m.- 6 p.m.) T: 715-549-6235 or E:   deputyclerk2@townofstjoseph.com

Deadline to request absentee ballots by mail for regular and overseas voters is October 29th (5:00 p.m.)

Deadline to request absentee ballots by mail for indefinitely confined and military voters is October 30th (5:00 p.m.)

Once you receive your ballot in the mail:

                *Mark your ballot by filling in the ovals with black ink

                *Put your ballot in the Certification envelope and seal it

*Please be sure to Fill out the Absentee Ballot Certification Form COMPLETELY (backside of the envelope) 

                *Signature of Voter & Today’s Date

                *Have your witness sign & write their address (including zip code)

Please fill out your ballot and return as soon as possible.  To ensure it gets to us in time, please allow 2 weeks for delivery.   You may also drop it off with a deputy clerk inside the building at the Town Hall during our office hours T/W 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Th 12:00-6:00 p.m.  

You may use the drop box.  

#3 Want to Vote in Person but avoid the lines? Vote Early!

Tuesday, October 20th 9 a.m.-2:00 p.m.

Wednesday, October 21st 9 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Thursday, October 22nd 12:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Tuesday, October 27th 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.

Wednesday, October 28th 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.

Thursday, October 29th 12:30 p.m. -5:30 p.m.

Friday, October 30th 3:00 p.m-5:00 p.m.
